Rabbi Stanley Vogel Obituary (1932 - 2018)

Rabbi Stanley Vogel, age 86, passed away on August 1, 2018. Preceded in death by his wife, Rose Meyers Vogel; parents, Clarence and Leona Vogel; brother, Freddie Vogel; sister, Marcia Dormen. He is survived by his son, Richard (Debbie) Vogel; daughter, Leslie (Michael) Bennett; grandchildren, Ilana and Benjamin Vogel, Mollie (Marc) Warshaw and Jonathan Bennett; 4 great grandchildren. Rabbi Vogel served in the Army from 1952-1954 during the Korean War. He owned the 502 Club from 1957-1960, went on to be a sales rep. for Ewald Steel from 1960-1970. He owned Grandview Ace Hardware from 1970-2000 after which he started Vogel Investments from 2000-2007. Stan obtained his Rabbinical Smicha in 1999. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans where he served as Chaplin since 1999. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 3 at Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main St. Burial will follow at New Agudas Achim Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Beth Jacob Synagogue.
