Solange (Solika) Fretas, age 90, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Fretas; parents, Tamar and Yossef Abbou; sister, Rosette Benzekri; brother, Emil Abbou. Survived by daughters, Sylvia (Claude) Amar, Martine (Bruce) Knisley, Nicole (Mark) Ebner, Murielle (Jeff) Rosenberg, Patricia (Michael) Schiff; son, Alain Fretas; brother, Armand (Leah) Abbou; sister, Renee (Michael) Ganon; grandchildren, Talie (Jason) Block, Dominique (Andres) Weber, Julie, Aaron (Bridget) and Ethan Knisley, Zachary, Julian and Sabrina Ebner, Brandon Fretas, Simon, Gabriel and Seth Rosenberg, Sophie, Juliette, Stefan and Adrian Schiff; great grandchildren, Audrey, Jude and Leo Block; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She led a beautiful, humble life always focused on family, warmth, love and hospitality. She was a true matriarch and took pride in the closeness of her large family both here and abroad. She will forever be cherished and missed.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 6 at Beth Jacob Synagogue, 1223 College Ave. Columbus. Interment will follow at New Beth Jacob Cemetery. For a link to the Zoom please email zoom1@epsteinmemorial.com

Shiva will be observed at Patricia and Michael Schiff's residence: Tuesday-Thursday 4:30pm - 7pm (Services at 7am and 4:45pm, Saturday 7-9pm, Sunday 4:30pm - 7pm(Services at 8:30am and 4:45pm) Services Monday morning at 7am.
