Sarah Mosberg Owings Obituary (1914 - 2009)

Sarah Mosberg Owings passed away at age 94 on July 9 at St. Ann’s hospital in Columbus. She was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio and lived there until she moved to Columbus in 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Gayle and 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her sister Jeanne Crocker of Detroit and daughters Lee (Stephen) Pinsky of New Albany, OH and Alexis (Alan) Tinnes of Gahanna, OH, grandchildren BJ (Jackie) Pinsky of New York, NY, Dr. Jamie (Roanna) Pinsky of Houston, TX, Brett (Alison) Tinnes of Gahanna, OH and great-grandson Jake Pinsky along with many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Mansfield High School and served as a military airfield secretary during World War II. Sarah was a lifelong member of Emanuel Jacob Congregation in Mansfield and an officer of the Mansfield Broadway Theatre League as well as an avid golfer and bowler. She loved animals…raising dogs, cats and horses all of her life. Funeral service will be held graveside Sunday July 12 at 1:00 pm at the Emanuel Jacob Cemetery, 3480 Park Ave.West in Ontario. Rabbi Michael Oppenheimer will officiate. The family will receive visitors afterward at Emanuel Jacob Synagogue on Cooke Rd. in Mansfield.
