Rocco D. D'Angelo Obituary (1933 - 2011)

Rocco D. D’Angelo, age 78, passed away on November 28, 2011. Preceded in death by parents Salvatore and Angelina Cusimano D’Angelo; step mother Josephine D’Angelo; and brothers, Andrew DeAngelo and Joseph D’Angelo. Survived by his wife, Evelyn; son, Edward (Cheryl) D’Angelo; daughters, Diana Jo (Joel Wolff) D’Angelo-Wolff and Ruth Ann D’Angelo; brother, Angelo (Mary) D’Angelo; sisters , Anne (Phil) Giacapelli, Joan (Vito) Aruana and Ninfa (Michael) Ianello; grandchildren, Jonathan Dominic and Joshua Joseph D’Angelo, Jennifer Nicole Anneshansley and Emilia Vittoria Fubini Wolff; sisters-in-law Angie DeAngelo and Mary D’Angelo; cousin, Sister Rita Greco and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rocco D’Angelo, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus The Ohio State University College of Social Work; member of the Alumni Association City College of New York; Board Rosemont Center, Congregation Tifereth Israel. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 1st at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Harold Berman officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the home of Evelyn and Rocco D’Angelo on Thursday from 5-7 p.m., Friday from 10-2 p.m. and Sunday from 12-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Rosemont Center, 2440 Dawnlight Ave., Columbus 43221 in his memory.
