Raisa Patlashenko

Raisa Patlashenko, age 67, passed away on March 6, 2014. Preceded in death by parents, Aron and Anna Magaziner and sister, Maya Shnaider. She is survived by her husband, Eugene; son, Alex (Marina) Patlashenko; daughter, Yuliya (Kelly) Patlashenko; brother, Fred (Adel) Magaziner; grandchildren, Anna, Aron and Leah Reman; nieces, Karina (Scott) Rubin and Alla (Roberto) Tempesta; nephews, Yury (Natasha) Vernekov, Oleg (Lori) Vernekoff and Zinovy (Galena) Shnaider.

Raisa worked for the Jewish Community Center of Columbus for 24 years, during which she worked extensively with immigrants from the former Soviet Union. She was a volunteer for the Columbus Jewish Federation and United Way.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 7th at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Harold Berman officiating. Shiva will be observed at the Patlashenko residence. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Congregation Tifereth Israel or JCC of Columbus.
