Phillip W. Gurwin Obituary (1932 - 2015)

Phillip Gurwin, age 83, passed away on December 20, 2015. Preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Frieda Gurwin. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Florence Gurwin; sons, Bruce (Nancy) Gurwin and David (Susan) Gurwin; grandchildren, Joseph (Jessica) Gurwin, Scott (Angela) Gurwin, Sarah (Josh) Kirschner, Daniel Gurwin, Gabriel Gurwin and Alyssa Gurwin; great granddaughters, Amelia Bean Gurwin and Adalynn Belle Gurwin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, December 22 at EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Michael Ungar and Rabbi Harold Berman officiating. Burial will follow at New Tifereth Israel Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the Gurwin residence on Tuesday – Thursday and Sunday evenings at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Columbus Jewish Historical Society, Congregation Tifereth Israel or JCC of Columbus in his memory.
