Nathan A. Goldberg Obituary (1938 - 2021)

Nathan A Goldberg, 82, of Columbus, OH, husband to Elaine and father of two children, died due to complications from a stroke and Covid-19 on January 22, 2021. Nate was born on April 25, 1938 in Oil City, PA to William and Rose Goldberg. He received his business degree from The Ohio State University in 1960. He was in the financial services business for 55 years and was the President of Goldberg, Clouse & Edgell. A long-time member of New Albany and Indian Ridge country clubs, a former board member of Temple Israel, active in many insurance industry organizations and is a member of the CLU Hall of Fame. In 2006, after the death of his daughter, he co-founded Melissa’s House. Nate was an avid sports fan attending games all over the country, but mostly he loved his Buckeyes and seeing kids and grandkids of his friends play. He spent most of the winters of the past 25 years in California to be near his grandchildren. Nate was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joann Schwartz, and his daughter Melissa. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Elaine, his son Billy (Paula), and his grandchildren Sophie and Molly. A private family graveside service will be held on Sunday January 24 with an option to join via live stream.
