Nancy Block

Nancy Block, born in St Paul MN on January 19, 1917 to Sam and Rose Soltan. She married Saul Block in 1938 and they were married for 48 years. Nancy moved to Columbus in 1988 after Saul’s death. Predeceased by her parents, husband Saul, daughter Carol Sue Diamond, and great-granddaughter Eliana Sweatland. Survived by daughters, Harriet Gold, of Columbus, and Judie Block, of Richmond, VA; sons, Dr Arnold (Mary) Block, of Columbia, MD, Dr Dale (Ellen) Block, of Gainesville, FL, and Paul (Joanne) Block, of West Hills, CA; brother Harvey (Rita) Soltan, of Minneapolis MN; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and grand-nephews and nieces. Graveside Service 11 AM Friday, January 9, 2009 at New Tifereth Israel Cemetery, with Rabbi Cary Kozberg officiating. Family will receive friends at the home of Harriet Gold immediately following services.
