Mindla Weinrich Rosen Obituary (1929 - 2013)

Mindla Weinrich Rosen, age 84, passed away on June 25, 2013. Mindla was born on June 23, 1929 in Poland; resided in Paris from 1932 to 1939, fled to Vichy France in 1939 and emigrated through Portugal to Baltimore in 1942. She moved to New York City and married her late husband, Samuel Rosen in 1954. Mindla and Samuel moved to Hilliard, OH in 1961 until the day of her passing. Preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Golda Weinrich; husband, Samuel Rosen and brother, Marcel Weinrich. She is survived by her sons, Paul (Bannarak Ro) Rosen and Grant (Lori Stokes) Rosen; grandsons, Eric and Brian Rosen and dear lifetime friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 28th at EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Richard Kellner officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery - Beth Tikvah Section. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Civitan International Foundation c/o Sam Rosen Scholarship, PO Box 130744, Birmingham, AL 35213-0744. The family will receive visitors at Grant and Lori's home immediately following the service.
