Jacob Rich Obituary (1912 - 2012)

Jacob Rich, age 99, passed away on January 26, 2012. Preceded in death by wife, Cyril; parents, Aaron and Sarah Rich; brother, Abram Rich; sister, Rhea Berkman and brother-in-law, Lawrence Cantor. Survived by his daughter, Ellen (Dr. Gary) Rogers; sons, Dr. Gary (Jenny) Rich and Dr. Leonard (Bess) Rich; grandchildren, Dr. Adam (Stephanie) Rogers, Sara Rogers, Seth (Kristin) Rogers, Brian (Jamie) Rich, Todd (Sara) Rich, Wendy (Jeff) Albright, Michael Rich, and Lauren (Michael) Daniell; 13 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gen Cantor; niece, nephews, cousins and friends. Jacob was a 50 plus year member of Tadmor Temple Shrine. Member of B'nai B'rith, Congregation Tifereth Israel and 26 year Volunteer at the Mt. Carmel East Emergency Room. Former owner of Dover News Agency. The family would like to thank the staff of Creekside at the Village, Zusman Hospice and Wexner Heritage House Rehab. A special thank you to the Volunteer Office at Mt. Carmel East and the staff at Mt. Carmel East Emergency Room for their loving support. Funeral services 2:00PM on Sunday, January 29th at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Harold Berman, Rabbi Cary Kozberg, Rabbi Sharon Mars and Cantor Jack Chomsky officiating. Interment New Tifereth Israel Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the home of Ellen and Dr. Gary Rogers. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Zusman Hospice, 1151 College Ave., Columbus 43209, Congregation Tifereth Israel, 1354 E.
