Irving N. Levey Obituary (1922 - 2015)

Irving Levey, age 93, passed away on December 12, 2015. Preceded in death by his wife, Irene Levey; son, Mark Levey; sister, Maxine Haas; parents, Meyer and Sadie Levey; nephew, Kenny Haas; nieces, Mona Hirsch and Sandra Hamrick. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Boster (Mark Kotler); grandchildren, Julie (Jasmine) Boster and Aaron (Christine) Boster; great grandchildren, Jaden, Devin, Maxwell and Betty. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to Beth Lee, devoted caregiver to Mark, Irene and Irving for the past 11 years. Irving, a lifetime native of Columbus, OH, was a renaissance man: he was a soldier, publisher, editor, author, inventor, actor, artist, and junk man. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, December 14 at EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Michael Ungar officiating. Shiva will be observed at the Levey residence on Monday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the OhioHealth Multiple Sclerosis Patient Assistance Fund 180 East Broad Street, Floor 31,Columbus, OH 43215-3707 in his memory.
