Edmond Schecter Obituary (1935

Dr. Edmond Schecter, of Columbus. Survived by his wife Dolly, sons Martin (Michael Sutula) Schecter; and Michael (Michael Spaulding) Schecter; brother, Sandy (Marcia) Sanford and grandchildren Jacob and Noah. Edmond was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Bertha Schechter and his brother Morton Schechter. Dr. Schecter was an active member of Congregation Beth Tikvah and its brotherhood. He was a first lieutenant in the Army and a Commander of the Jewish War Veterans. Dr. Schecter worked as an optometrist with Columbus Vision Center, formerly know as Tyroler & Schecter, for over 40 years. Funeral Service 11 AM Monday, December 24, 2007 at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main Street, with Rabbi Gary Huber officiating. Burial to follow at New Agudas Achim Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at Michael Schecter’s residence Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 PM until 8 PM.
