Doris Shaevitz

Doris Charlene Shaevitz passed away October 4th , 2008 after a brief illness. She will be dearly missed by her children and extended family. Born May 23, 1922 in Zanesville, Ohio, she was a Columbus resident since 1952. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sanford E. Shaevitz, parents, Claude and Georgia Miller, brother, Kenneth. Survived by son, Michael (Linda) Shaevitz; daughter Corinne (Jeff) Covel; grandchildren, Joshua, Daniel, Sean, Kyle, and great -grandchildren, Maina and Rishi.

Doris was a lifelong member of Congregation Tifereth Israel. Graveside service 1:30 PM Monday, October 6, 2008 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Temple Israel section, with Rabbi Michael Ungar officiating. Shiva will be observed at the Covel residence Monday & Tuesday at 6:30PM.
