Dane Perelstein Obituary (1951 - 2022)

Dane Perelstein, age 71, passed away surrounded by family on December 6, 2022. A mench who loves family, lifelong teacher and active in the Westerville community. You would often see him working at his hot dog cart 'Danes Dogs' or volunteering at CHA Animal Shelter. Preceded in death by his parents, Irving and Dorothy Perelstein. Survived by his wife, Ann Holsinger; daughters, Amanda (Brian) Nicolich, Rebecca Perelstein and Ilana Perelstein; son, Fred (Erin) Holsinger; sister, Lynn (Rick Giovinazzo) Rosenberg; grandchildren, Max and Grace Holsinger, Audrey and Olivia Nicolich; brothers-in-law, Richard Holsinger, Thomas (Esther) Holsinger, Frederick (Paula) Holsinger, Philip (Diana) Holsinger and John (Amy) Holsinger; sister-in-law, Martha (Peter) Laihr; childhood friends, Barry Rosen and Frank (Gina) Murdocco; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 8 at Temple Beth Shalom, 5089 Johnstown Road. Shiva will be observed at the Perelstein residence Thursday immediately following the service, Saturday 6-8pm and Sunday 12-2pm.
