Benita Jo Schaffer Obituary (1936 - 2011)

Benita Jo Schaffer (Schneider), 74, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer. She was born in Gahanna, Ohio on November 12, 1936 and was a loving mother and friend with a passion for cooking that was enjoyed by all. Preceded in death by her parents, David and Ruth Schneider. Survived by her three sons, Scott of Reynoldsburg, Ricky (Diane) of Dublin and Rodney (Debbie) of Las Vegas; 12 beautiful grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Harold (Judy) Schneider of Columbus; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service 11AM on Sunday, June 12th at THE EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 3232 E. Main St. with Rabbi Harold Berman officiating. Burial will follow at New Tifereth Israel Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at Ricky and Diane’s residence. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Mt. Carmel Hospice or Cozy Cats
