Allen S. Rubnitz Obituary (1949 - 2014)

ALLEN S. ‘THE PROFESSOR’ RUBNITZ, 65, passed away May 20, 2014 with family and friends by his side in Westerville, Ohio. Allen was the devoted husband of Mary (Plunkett) Rubnitz (42 years) and loving father of Victoria Rubnitz. Allen is survived by his sister, Jean (Rubnitz) Ferratier; his cousin, Gail Kerzner; his parents-in-law, Don and Blanche Plunkett; his 16 siblings-in-law; his 23 nieces and nephews; many cherished extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by parents, Warren and Idelle Rubnitz. Allen will always be remembered for his love and devotion to family and friends, his love of knowledge, and his folk music gifting. The service will be at 11:00am, with the burial immediately following at Bluff City Cemetery, 945 Bluff City Blvd, Elgin IL.
