In Loving Memory of Allegria "Alley" Guenoun Allegria Guenoun, known to all as "Alley," was the beloved daughter of Alice and Meir Ezarzar and one of 13 siblings. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jud. Growing up in Morocco, she remained close to her brothers and sisters, talking to them nearly every day despite the distance between them. Alley’s greatest pride and joy were her children—Anna and Ruth—and her grandchildren: Alec, Abby, Samantha, Gabe, Benji, and Lee Elle. She was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Zoe. She will be remembered fondly for the love she poured into her family, especially her grandchildren. Alley had a unique way of making everyone feel cherished, often filling their plates with food, whether they were hungry or not, and always offering a cup of mint tea or coffee cream afterward. Alley was a dreamer and an inventor at heart, always eager to share her latest ideas with Samantha or Alec, keeping her mind busy and her family engaged. Her sense of humor was infectious—she would laugh all the way through telling a joke, and her laughter will live on in our hearts. A believer in superstitions and dreams, Alley loved interpreting their meanings, adding a mystical layer to her everyday life. Her creativity also extended to fashion and sewing, where she made her mark starting at Lazarus Furs and later at The Union’s fur department. She went on to build a thriving home-based fur business, a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit. Above all, Alley will be deeply missed for the way she expressed her love: through cooking, humor, creativity, and an unwavering devotion to her family. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, January 3, 2025 at New Beth Jacob Cemetery, 2565 Performance Way, Columbus The family will receive visitors for Shiva on Sunday and Monday from 4pm-7pm with a mincha/maariv service at 5pm.
