E. Michael Fliegel Obituary (1944 - 2024)

Michael Fliegel, 80, passed away on August 14, 2024. Preceded in death by his wife Carole Lynn Fliegel and parents Gordon and Fern Fliegel. Survived by his daughter, Tobi Fliegel; sons, Joel (Rebecca) Fliegel, Seth (Krista) Fliegel, Jared Fliegel, Jeffrey (Tim Buskirk) White; sisters, Wendy (Rob) Cohen, Madalyn (Roger) Benjamin; brother Alan (Lynn) Fliegel; grandchildren, Micah, Jordon, Caleb, Emma, Lainie, Tovah, Maya, Carissa and Kaitlyn. Mike retired from Franklin County Children Services where he devoted his life to family and child advocacy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Sunday, August 18 at Congregation Beth Tikvah, 6121 Olentangy River Rd., Worthington. In memory of Mike contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans (https://help.dav.org/page/66818/donate/1?locale=en-US), Beth Tikvah (www.bethtikvahcolumbus.org) or your charity of choice. A gathering will follow graveside service at the home of Wendy and Rob Cohen.
