Gordon Zacks Obituary (1933 - 2014)

Gordon Zacks, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 1, 2014. Preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Carol Sue Zacks; parents, Aaron Zacks and Florence Zacks Melton and brother, Barry Zacks. Survived by his daughters, Cathy (Michael) Gildenhorn and Kim Zacks; grandchildren, Edward and Elissa Gildenhorn and Ariela Zacks. Gordon graduated from Bexley High School and the Ohio State University. He was Chairman of the Board of RG Barry Corporation. Gordon was a business executive, leadership authority, continuing education advocate and author. He helped strengthen leadership in America and Israel that was Pro-American, Pro-Israel, Pro-human rights and Pro-Democracy. Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and trusted friend. He will be missed by all who were blessed to be a part of his life. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, February 3rd at CONGREGATION TIFERETH ISRAEL, 1354 E. Broad St. with Rabbi Harold Berman officiating. Followed by interment at New Tifereth Israel Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at the Zacks residence.
